ALERT. COVID-19 UPDATE.

In response to the spread of Flu and COVID-19 Coronavirus, Brandon Animal Hospital has made the difficult decision to begin limiting foot-traffic through Brandon Animal Hospital.

These new measures include: limited appointment scheduling, client screening as well as implementing curb-side service.

We ask that all clients please remain in their vehicles when they arrive and call our front desk at (540)345-8486 for further instructions. Our staff will be happy to bring prescriptions, pet food and your pets to and from the parking lot.

Please call ahead for any prescription refills and appointment requests.

We also ask that if your pet is healthy and only in need of vaccines or other routine services, to, if possible, be willing to schedule appointments several days / weeks in advance in order to keep availability for sick patients.

Brandon Animal Hospital is committed to minimizing the spread pathogens by following State, Federal and CDC guidelines. We ask for your all of your patience and understanding in this period of public health emergency. We will continue to re-evaluate the situation on a daily basis and post updates accordingly.

The health benefits of pet ownership extend to physical well-being as well. Pet owners often report lower blood pressure, reduced cholesterol levels, and better cardiovascular health. Walking or playing with a pet can be an enjoyable way to incorporate exercise into daily routines, particularly for those who find traditional workouts daunting. Additionally, regular exercise with pets can promote healthy habits, potentially reducing the risk of obesity and other lifestyle-related conditions. Having a pet can encourage individuals to go outside and move, which has added benefits of exposure to sunlight and fresh air, both of which have their own health benefits. In a way, pets become personal trainers of sorts, providing a consistent source of motivation and support for leading a healthier life.
